2025 Tennessee Educator Survey Snapshot: High School and Beyond Plans

The 2025 Tennessee Educator Survey Snapshots offer quick, accessible insights from educators on some of the most important issues in our schools—including artificial intelligence, cell phone policies, student discipline, match curriculum and supports, career and technical education, early career teachers, teacher evaluation and retention, and more. These one-pagers highlight what teachers are seeing and experiencing right now, providing valuable perspective to inform conversations about policy and practice across the state.

• Key Insight #1: Nearly two-thirds of high school CTE teachers said they are familiar with their school’s efforts towards High School and Beyond Plans, while half said that students are familiar with their own HSBPs.
• Key Insight #2: High school counselors in schools located in towns and rural areas reported more familiarity with the state’s HSBP initiative. Counselors most often said they were involved in creating plans with their students.
