Nicole Mader

Nicole Mader is TERA’s Senior Research Associate. Nicole’s research portfolio primarily focuses on early post-secondary opportunities and teacher labor markets in Tennessee. Prior to joining TERA in 2022, Nicole worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for NYC Affairs, an applied policy research institute at The New School, where she completed her Ph.D. in Public and Urban Policy. While at The New School, her research focused on equity and integration in NYC’s public schools, and she led several research projects that received national media attention and made a measurable impact on education policy in the city. Nicole has a B.A. from Davidson College in North Carolina, an MST in Secondary Social Studies Education from Fordham University and an MPP from The New School.
