Mary Kate Hillis

Mary Kate is a Graduate Research Assistant at TERA. In her role, she supports projects researching educator labor markets and educator development. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College. Before joining the MPP Program, Mary Kate served in Alabama as Governor Kay Ivey’s Education Policy Advisor. She graduated from Auburn University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science.
